Medical Assistant

Prestige OSS is looking for A-players (best of the best) Medical Assistant to join our Client’s team based in the US. In this role, you will be an essential part of the healthcare team, directly contributing to the smooth running of the practice by handling key administrative tasks. Your responsibilities will include managing patient communications, performing insurance verifications, assisting with billing processes, and supporting the practice with essential administrative duties.

The ideal candidate will be a proactive self-starter with excellent organizational skills, a strong customer service mindset, and a detail-oriented approach. If you have experience in patient communication, insurance verifications, pre-authorizations, billing, referrals and follow-ups, prescription coordination, appointment scheduling, medical records management, claims follow-up, patient intake and documentation, patient account management, HIPAA compliance, or general practice support and admin, we encourage you to apply!

Job Description

  • Perform insurance verifications and pre-authorizations for patients.
  • Assist with patient scheduling, including managing appointments and coordinating calendars.
  • Communicate with patients regarding appointments, referrals, and follow-ups.
  • Handle billing processes, including submitting claims, tracking payments, and following up on billing inquiries.
  • Coordinate prescriptions with pharmacies and manage patient needs.
  • Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA compliance.
  • Provide general administrative support to ensure smooth operations of the practice.
  • Help patients complete intake forms and other necessary documentation prior to their visits.
  • Coordinate with medical staff to ensure accurate information and follow-up care.

 Requirements and Qualifications

  • Proven experience in healthcare administration or a similar administrative role (preferred).
  • Strong understanding of insurance verification, billing, and pre-authorizations.
  • Excellent spoken and written English communication skills.
  • High attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks.
  • Ability to take ownership of tasks and work independently in a remote environment.
  • Strong customer service skills, with a professional phone manner.
  • Committed to maintaining confidentiality and adhering to HIPAA compliance.
  • Comfortable using remote work tools and platforms (remote desktop, VPN) A proactive problem-solver with a strong desire to learn and improve.

Recruitment Process

  2. After the screening call, the candidate will have to go through our assessments that includes written English Skills and IQ level test.
